Sparks: earn and spend on Fluxer Bot List

Sparks are always earned. You can't buy them with money, send them to someone else or trade them. Your balance, your history and everything you can do with Sparks are under Dashboard → Sparks.

The short version

• Sign in, then check in every day to keep your streak going.
• Vote for bots and servers you like, and bump servers you're in.
• Play the mini games. Fast, correct answers pay the most.
• Finish your weekly quests for a big bonus.
• Spend your Sparks in the Shop on name styles, badges and boosts for your listings.

When does a day reset? Every daily limit, check-in and game counter resets at midnight IST (India Standard Time, UTC+5:30). Weekly quests reset on Monday at midnight IST.

Ways to earn

Daily check-in

Open Dashboard → Sparks → Daily & Quests and check in once a day. Bumping a server also counts as your check-in, and so does !daily with the FBL bot.

If you miss a day, your streak starts again from day 1.

Voting

Voting for a bot or server pays you too:

• 5 Sparks the first time you ever vote for a listing. This rewards you for finding something new.
• 1 Spark for each repeat vote on a listing you've voted for before.
• Your first 20 votes each day pay. Votes after that still count for the listing, they just don't pay you.
• Voting for your own listing never pays.

Bumping servers

A bump moves a server to the top of Recently Bumped. Anyone who is signed in can bump a server, from its page or by typing !bump inside that server with the FBL bot.

• Each bump pays you 3 Sparks, for your first 10 bumps each day.
• A server can be bumped once every 12 hours. That timer is shared by everyone, so whoever bumps first gets it.
• Bumping again within 24 hours of the last bump keeps the server's bump chain going. Longer chains push the server a little higher in Recently Bumped.

Mini games

Play them under Dashboard → Games. Each correct answer pays Sparks, up to a daily limit per game:

Answer fast for the full reward. Every round has a timer, split into three parts:

• Fast (first third of the timer): the full reward.
• Good (middle third): about two thirds of it.
• Slow (last third): about one third of it.

A correct answer always pays at least 1 Spark. Getting answers right in a row gives a streak bonus: +1 Spark for every 4 in a row, up to +2. A wrong answer or running out of time ends the streak.

Daily Discovery

Every day you get 3 picks: bots and servers we think you might like. Vote for a pick to get 3 Sparks. Just opening a pick doesn't pay, so take a look first and only vote if you like it.

Weekly quests

Each week you get 4 quests, such as "vote 10 times" or "bump 3 different servers". They count what you already do on the site. Claim each quest's reward when it's done, and finishing all 4 adds a 50 Spark bonus. Quests rotate every Monday.

Achievements

Achievements are milestones you unlock once, such as your 100th vote or a 30-day check-in streak. Each one pays a one-time reward. See them under Dashboard → Sparks → Achievements.

Referrals

Share your referral link from Dashboard → Sparks → Referrals. When a friend signs up with it, and their account is 7 days old and has an approved bot or server, you get 30 Sparks and they get 15.

Bump Leagues

Every month, servers compete in a league against servers of similar size. A server's score comes from bumps, its best bump chain and votes. At the end of the month, the top 3 bumpers of each Diamond, Gold and Silver server get Sparks and a season badge on their profile:

How much can I earn?

It depends on how active you are. Roughly:

On top of that, quests add about 270 a week if you finish them all.

Bump rank

Servers also have a bump rank, shown next to the bump button on its page and in the bot's !bump reply.

• Every bump adds points to the server's score, and a long bump chain adds a bit more.
• Points fade over time: about half of them are gone after 2 days.
• So servers whose community keeps bumping slowly climb, and servers that stop bumping slowly slide down.

You can't buy bump rank. The only way up is to keep bumping.

Reputation

Reputation is a separate score that shows how much you've helped the community. Unlike Sparks, you can't spend, buy or trade it. You earn it for:

• writing thoughtful reviews, and having people mark them helpful;
• replying to reviews of your listings;
• keeping servers bumped;
• getting bots or servers approved;
• referrals;
• your best check-in streak;
• how long you've been on FBL.

Each part has a cap, so no single activity can be farmed.

Some shop items need a tier as well as Sparks. For example, the best badges need Member or Trusted, and vanity links need Trusted. See your score under Dashboard → Sparks → Reputation.

Everything is in Dashboard → Sparks → Shop. Click an item to see a preview, then confirm in the bar at the bottom of the screen.

Each paid placement (Promoted, Home: New, Home: Top) has 2 slots for bots and 2 for servers. If both are taken, your purchase waits in line and starts as soon as a slot frees up. Permanent looks can be changed or removed later for free.

For listings you like

• Fan Spotlight: put Sparks into the pool of a bot or server you like, even if it's not yours. Every 300 Sparks in a pool buys it 24 hours as a Community Pick at the top of browse.
• Cheer a bump: spend 5 Sparks to lift a server someone just bumped (in the last hour) a little higher in Recently Bumped. Up to 3 cheers a day.

Fair play

• Sparks can't be bought, gifted or traded. Everyone earns them the same way.
• Daily limits on votes, bumps and games stop anyone from farming.
• Suspended accounts don't earn Sparks or reputation.
• Using alts, scripts or bots to vote, bump or play is against the rules. Staff can remove Sparks, reset progress or suspend accounts that do it.
• Staff can turn bumping off for a server that abuses it.
