Review Guidelines

Reviews on Fluxer Bot List (FBL) exist so real users can share real experiences with bots, servers, and themes. These rules keep that signal honest — so a 4-star average means something.

If anything here is ambiguous, default to "would a first-time visitor trust this review?"

1. Be honest

  • Write reviews based on your actual experience using the listing.
  • Don't review a bot you've never added, a server you've never joined, or a theme you've never installed.
  • Don't leave a fake 5-star review because you're the owner, a staff member, or a friend of the creator.
  • Don't leave a fake 1-star review to sabotage a competitor.

Reviewers can and do check usage patterns. Fake reviews get removed; repeat offenders lose the ability to review.

2. Stay on topic

  • Review the listing itself — features, stability, moderation, theme quality — not unrelated drama.
  • Don't use reviews to promote your own bot/server/theme.
  • Don't post personal disputes with individual users. That's what support tickets are for.
  • If the bot you're reviewing is down right now, that's worth mentioning — but don't let a 30-minute outage turn into a 1-star if the bot is otherwise great.

3. Keep it readable

  • English is preferred for reviews so most users can read them. Non-English reviews are allowed but may be deprioritised by the sorting algorithm.
  • Don't write reviews in ALL CAPS, as a wall of emoji, or as a copy-pasted meme.
  • Stay under 2,000 characters. A review is a review, not a blog post.
  • Spellcheck matters less than clarity — a rough "moderation is slow, but the community is chill" beats a polished but empty "pretty good".

4. Be respectful

  • No slurs, hate speech, or targeted harassment in any form.
  • Don't review a listing by attacking the creator as a person — review their work.
  • Disagreement is fine; name-calling isn't.
  • Discussing a listing's shortcomings is fair game. Calling the owner a dehumanising name is not.

5. No private info

  • Don't post personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers, emails) of anyone — yours or someone else's.
  • Don't post screenshots of DMs without the other party's consent.
  • Don't post tokens, invite links to unrelated servers, or referral codes in a review. That's advertising, not a review.

6. No exploits or guides

  • Don't use a review to explain how to bypass a bot's rate limits, a server's moderation, or a theme's license checks.
  • Don't post exploit proof-of-concept content in reviews. If you've found a security issue, open a support ticket.

7. Adult content

  • Reviews must be safe for work regardless of whether the listing is NSFW-tagged.
  • Don't include adult imagery, explicit descriptions, or sexual content in the review text.

8. Voting on reviews

  • The helpful-vote button (👍) means "this review helped me decide." Use it that way.
  • Don't coordinate vote brigades to boost or bury specific reviews.
  • You can't vote on your own review.

9. Editing and deleting

  • You can edit your review at any time — use this to update your rating as a listing improves or regresses.
  • You can delete your review at any time.
  • If staff hides your review, you'll see it's hidden but the public won't. Appeal via a support ticket.

10. Things we will always remove

  • Reviews that are obvious fakes (duplicate wording across multiple accounts, reviews from brand-new accounts that have never used the listing, suspicious vote patterns).
  • Reviews that doxx, threaten, or harass any person.
  • Reviews that spam, advertise, or inject affiliate/referral links.
  • Reviews that quote or celebrate violent or illegal acts.
  • Reviews written by the listing owner about their own listing, or by close associates writing on the owner's behalf.

11. Appeals

If your review is hidden or removed and you believe it was in error, open a support ticket with:

  • A link to the listing you reviewed.
  • A screenshot or paste of the review text.
  • What you believe was misinterpreted.

Reviewers read every appeal. They won't always agree, but they will explain.

Summary

Write reviews you'd trust if you were reading one for the first time. Be honest. Stay on topic. Keep it respectful. Leave out personal info, exploits, and advertising.

Good reviews make the whole list better. We'll gladly keep them up.
